In place of the AO Con 2012 screenshot contest, which was a bust due to a glitch with our in-game billboards, I'd like to announce the AO Con 2012 Poetry Slam! We're not actually going to ask anyone to read poetry aloud to us, but here's how to enter for your chance to win an exclusive AO Con 2012 prize:
Submit an original work of poetry about the game of Anarchy Online (minimum 8 lines) that you've written yourself, to sprklygrrl@gmail.com by July 31st, with “AO poem” in the subject line. Please include your main toon's name, and your real name and complete mailing address. The poems will be reviewed by the members of GridStream Productions and a winner selected by August 6th. Make it syrupy sweet, creatively corny, or fantastically funny – whatever inspires you about Anarchy Online, use it!
The winner will be contacted and their exclusive AO Con 2012 prize will be mailed directly to them by me. All entries will be posted publicly on the AO Con 2012 website (http://ao-con.com), and the winning poem will be posted publicly on the GridStream Productions website (http://www.gridstream.org) as well.
