    OOC:

Just to clear up any confusion regarding the OTAP positions, the Omni-Tek Affiliate Program is the official name used for the Board of Directors meetings. Volunteers for the positions will be helping to keep this great roleplaying opportunity running!

To apply for any of the positions listed, you only have to meet the following requirements (don’t worry about the IC requirements):

Must have an Omni character for the position (duh)

Must not have an alt in the CoT or a neutral city council. While you are certainly not barred from playing other factions with an alt, the leadership positions in each faction are special and it would hurt the game if some people were trying to call the shots on both sides.

Must not be planning to defect. Many Omni-Tek players enjoy playing characters that start out with Omni-Tek and then “see the light” and defect to the Clans. If you are planning on doing this then that is perfectly fine and normal, but being a Secretary is not right for you. It is a similar situation for spying; if you volunteer for this position you cannot pass “classified” material to another faction. The reason for this is because the BoD Secretaries are here to make the game experience more enjoyable for all players by providing a solid roleplaying environment, and part of this is playing the part of loyal Omni-Tek employees. If you do break this rule then it will be addressed as an OOC matter with ARK intervention. It cuts both ways too: if a CoT clerical staff member tried to use their position for an unfair Omni-Tek advantage, we would work OOC with the other Clerical Staff players and ARK to resolve the issue. So please be honest about this, because being a Secretary is as much of an OOC commitment as it is an IC one.

Must be able to put in the time required to get the minimum amount of work done. This is usually only a couple of hours a month. You can put as much effort into the position as you want (and have a blast doing it!) but the minimal requirements are pretty light for all the positions.

If you have any OOC questions regarding this then you can also post below, just be sure to use OOC: or the ((double parenthesis)) to keep it separate from any IC stuff.
