Coming to AO from a long stint in EVE.
Looking for a newbie-friendly org that is active in my TZ (Western U.S.)
I do not want/need hand outs, but good advice is always appreciated.
I am mature, drama free, and plan to be fairly active.

Are you clan or Omni?
Visit the recruitment section of forums, there's plenty of good orgs to choose from.
yep, so there's several decent orgs to choose from.

Shadow Ops
Everything that we see is a shadow cast by that which we do not see.
They'll say we're disturbing the peace, but there is no peace. What really bothers them is that we are disturbing the war.
Tired of little elves with bows? Fed up with spell-flinging goblins? Bored to death by the solitary world of linear games? Despair not. Freedom is on its way, and its name is Anarchy Online.

Before deciding on an org, decide what kind of gameplay you want. PvP/PvE? There are orgs that specialize in both. And once you do decide on an org, try to hang around some of their members, see if you get along with them. Previous orgs are kept track of and will most likely come up if you join/leave a bunch of different orgs when you're applying for one you'd actually like to join. Fortunately orgs aren't nearly as strict as they once were on recruitment, so you'd just have to explain it instead of being declined outright
