How could you ever expect someone to go on paying for such frustration ?
Some people are more stubborn and it takes longer for them to give up....but here I have said some....not the majority.
    1. Cool down.
    2. All Servers are up and working fine atm
    3. It is the ISP of FC that having some routing trouble. So some players are getting disconnected and some can still play fine.
    4. When you are thinking this game is crap why are you still playing it?
    5. You can still do something else in RL till their ISP is working normal

Not trying to flame, but I'm sure as hell not paying a monthly fee to play real life. (Especially not 2 accounts worth)

Scheduled downtime is one thing, but this is 2 weekends in a row the servers have gone down the drain one way or another. And for most of us, the weekends are when we actually have time to play. FIX IT.

Perhaps we should buy a few of these for AO's serverpark?

I want to add that posting plain-text URLs that are not HTML-linked on the launcher page isn't very helpful as they can't be copied with ctrl+c.

wouldn't be so bad.. but goin ld while kiting or even levelling, you end up dead, with no buffs, and a hella pool everytime..

    Cool

maybe they could compensate us for the downtimes we get (like those constant maintenances every 4 days too)

in another game, silkroad or so, all players get like an extra xp boost for a day or so after a large downtime or they get some creds/tokens for compensation

maybe they can do it here too so u can patch/maintain server and still keep people happy

    1. Agreed.
    2. No they are not, try checking OOC, just went down again myself.
    3. You know, you can only pull off "it wasn't me, it was them" so many times before it starts to look su****ious. If it is the ISP, which I'm not saying it isn't, then it just reeks of bad management not to switch suppliers after the constant stream of issues. After all this is not something being provided to us out of the goodness of the ISPs or FCs heart. We pay for a service, FC pay the ISP for a service, at the moment theres nothing I'd rather play until Warhammer is released, so I'll sit back and take it like a mug. FC at least have the choice to switch suppliers, even if it is a locked contractual arrangement, I'm sure there are clauses inferring to proper service.
    4. I believed he meant the game is awesome, the level of service is crap.
    5. We do not pay per use, we pay for fixed time periods. If my internet service, or television provider, or any number of other term based services were to go down when I have paid for them, I would vent my frustration that way as I'm sure many others would.

Sorry to have to slam someone down again but they do need it.

In so far as telling me to find sometging to do in RL till the server is fixed I work 10 hrs a day 5 sometimes 6 hours a day so young man, as obvious I dont have 24/7 to play as some of you smart a66 children do, furthermore I pay for this myself...NOT my parents so till you do the same put a sock in it.

You word smart but sound stupid in the end.

What little I do have time to play WHAT I PAID FOR I would at least expect it to work. Expecting such does not make anyone an idiot !

Haha. About the 5th downtime this month.

Funcom, you're lucky people I enjoy talking with play this game, because if not i'd have been the hell out of here a long time ago.

Not many other current MMOs have this problem, and you know why?

Any of them that do, dont succeed and no one plays them.

If AO weren't so old, and hadn't made so many people bond with it and the people in it, there would be no one left.

Maybe it's time you get a grip on reality and see that you can't just keep treating us like crap, assuming that we'll put up with it.

Yeah, this was a bit of a **** up, I tried 3 times before my brain kicked in & told me it wasn't actualy going to the clipboard...! lol.

    5. We do not pay per use, we pay for fixed time periods.
    God Damnit!!!
I've never actualy realised this before!!!
    I pay yearly, that's 12months, 52weeks 365days, 8760hrs, 525600secs (all numbers aproxamate) that I PAY for!!!
However, how much of that time that I'm PAYING for can I actualy use???

Assume no life, & nothing to do other than play, 18hrs a day every day... (I know you COULD play longer but not for a year you couldn't lol) That's 6hrs (for sleep) that you CAN'T play for... That's 504hrs, 21days, almost 1month that you CAN'T play!!!

Now this sounds stupid until you realise that if you pay a phone company, an ISP, SKY, NTL or any other cable TV company or anything like that, when you're not using it, SOMEONE ELSE CAN USE IT!!!
FC officialy states that NOONE ELSE CAN USE THE ACCOUNT, which means, that they KNOW that for some of the time you are paying them for nothing! lol

& if you DO have a life, it's even worse!
Think 3hrs a day during the week (for those that work) and 6hrs a day on the weekend, that's 27hrs a week out of 168... 1404 hrs in a year, 58.5days...
In this example FC is charging a years service but only supplying (& I'm getting confused here so this may be incorrect) just under 8.5weeks of service!!!

Ok, bit of a wierd thought, but think about it!

Anyway, that's not what I came here to say... lol.
If it's just an ISP thing, how can it knock the chat servers down but leave the game running like it did this morning?
