The multi-ranged would be nice, but I would mostly like it for the CC tools that every soldier would be able to use.
Having the opportunity to not be kited 100% of the time by every agent who fails to alpha my soldier 100% of the time, often being in a completely different part of the playfield by the time the stuns and snares are gone, would be a nice way to balance soldiers in these situations. Would also be nice for every other time someone kites a soldier, which is practically always.
