Okay so- I realize that right now is a very busy time for funcom. Theres a new engine, a great big pvp rebalance, and many smaller projects going on. Those are great- and I cant wait for them. But once all that is done, ao should head in a new direction. And by new direction I mean new locations. And by new locations, I mean other planets. Shadowlands doesn't count because its all rainbow homoerotic pride parade. There should be a starport somewhere on rubika that can transport paying passengers to other planets in the same solar system, or neighboring systems. Preferably aim these planets (or moons/asteroids, i'm not picky) at higher level players, like 190 min with good XP / SK for a person to level to 220.

Each moon or planet could be themed!

That way each moon/planet could have their own unique version of hecklers. Liquid Hecklers. Magma hecklers. Gas-hecklers. Ice-hecklers. Bio-hecklers.

To keep with the spirit of AO though we could have missions for these places where you have to step on yellow, blue, red and green lights to complete them and get XP/SK-rewards!

Just to add something constructive: I'm not sure if multiple offworld locations would be reasonable (because it sounds a bit... out there. Literally). However new locations would be nice at this point (On Rubi Ka, based on normal people and sci-fi rather than hecklers and aliens).

I don't want to derail this guy thread. But, have you ever explored RK? When I was the newest of noobs that's most of what I did. Yeah I got killed a heck of a lot times. I also saw some really cool places. FC did an outstanding when they created RK all those years ago. Everyone should go out and have a look.

Just refreshing existing content is easier to do and can keep the game entertaining for the next millenia or so. Specially RK.

But some offplanet acchun could be fun too.

Fc should boost rk xp (for all players) and make new drops for some random rk mobs so people would like to hunt in wild. RK nature is actually really cool (some places could use a little fix tho) , too bad so few people go there . When i was newbie then it was really fun to go into the wild and discover (without air vehicle).

Just upgrade the existing mobs and places on rk and make new dungeons and stuff.
Rk is the best part of AO.

It would be cool if we could wander around in the Morning Star, something like the new background of the AO account page, or maybe the orbital construction plants from dreadloch. But inter-planetary travel?

1. Rubi-Ka is far far away from the civilized galaxy, hence OT got it for a bargain.
2. Only a fraction of the planet is terraformed and accessable to the new colonists, why go to a different planet if you havn't even fully uncovered your own yet?

ST MMO has nothing (or very little) in common with original series concept. This might eventually satisfy Voyager fans only. And besides, STO ground part is extremely annoying part of the game.
