Thread: +Dam to Proc's and Perk's

  1. #1

    Thumbs up +Dam to Proc's and Perk's

How do you like the last patch changes with the +dam which even affects perk's and proc's (does not affect the DoT)?

Nano Crystal (Harm Shock) went from a small 1400ish to a 2500ish a hit. (Nice! Imho)

How do you guess will this +Dam help in getting the agents back in the top of the DD list?

It's great...wished they made Death Strike instant and Assassinate without the % requirements and 100% rifle. (those perks + CS should probably be unavaible when FP'd tho). Then they will be better cause perks as snipeshots etc will do a lot more damage now It didn't affect the nano-casted dot?

Doesn't it take +1100 damage to get that sort of boost?
You gained 96 PVP Solo Score.

It does. Not that hard to reach, tho, with db1&2, 12m etc buffs flying around. And then there's team buffs, own nanos, equip,.....

So it's good that we got more damage.. but since this is a change right across the board doesn't anyone fear what will happen when we lose even more of our defenses in PvP?

Having all the Enforcers/Engineers/Shades deal higher perk damage is rather low on my list of favourite things.

I admittedly haven't done a ton of testing with this but from messing around with my agent and keeper it seems like the damage increase only occurs on direct-proc hits. For example I haven't noticed any increase in the 'waves' line but yeah the shock line increase is great. Although it's obviously hard to tell whether or not perk damage has directly increased as a result as it's always somewhat different. Divine Sanctifier on my keeper which is supposed to add +1790 proc ended up doing 2349 damage everytime. I really didn't notice any increase in the actual perk damage done though, on either keeper or agent. Regardless, a welcome damage increase.

    enforcers aren't scary enough.

Enforcers need to have the highest # of perks, the highest natural add damage, and the highest natural AR, obviously. Clearly someone needs to be able to have a chance at beating ranged advies.

Of course... this leads to other problems :/

Who said agent, ao's master-assassin and subterfuge-specialist, is supposed to be struck in combat?

I don't think we're supposed to surrive enf/shade-alpha at all.

Not a def-class, no. Agent always been a bit squishy, not much a diference here.

...Lol? So you're saying agents should never be hit? Our evades are mediocre at best even in a fully def. setup. How exactly is one hit out of combat btw?

I'm not claiming agents should be able to survive any and all alphas but saying agents should basically just die to shades/enfs is a little much. Especially when given the fact that both of those profs mentioned have far better defenses and are un-alphable with a decent setup (by agents anyway).

I think this will help us better in actually doing our job. Does it affect the dot btw?

    Nono, you misunderstood.

    Edit:
I am more concerned about the lack of developement and efficiency of our unique toolset.

While we're derailing the thread, I wish we had a better alpha.
On topic, I think Cradle is right. I get the increase to shock, but not to the DoT as far as I can see.

Yes, it's pretty silly that other professions so easy have same alpha as agent who is designed assassinate/evac.

    Yay for better perk-damage tho

Awesome change right there for the peoples who can't be bothered to do three PvM instances before they join PvP. Love it, no multi-buffhuggers anymore.

So far I'm mostly with Lup so far. On a lot of professions I can't even perk them, so I lost out on the +dmg boost, but they can perk me, so that is a net nerf. Also, with CH it's all about surviving the alpha. This makes alphas stronger, which means more deaths!

Also, triples hurt more at TL5 (more +dmg gear than +nano% gear at that level).

I'm guessing this is good for ganking agents, and bad for "outlasting" agents.
    I am Horrible
