My buddy Ofab linked me this thread...

I go up to this mob and it's dark orange and I ask over ventrilo what is it. I continue to fight it and nearly die...as I am fighting I am told it's like a super rare drop and how it takes many times to farm.

First kill it drops.

Kindly die in a fire.

Guess I should have clarified, every doc out there that didn't manage to farm one, and should still have written congratulations. Note to self: use more smilies.

I think I have 7 drops in about 400 kills now.

The first one was the best, enroute to figure out how inferno boots was made. Two drops that night, but the third for johnner didn't drop for many months later :-(

Bleh. I did roughly 1000 kills for my doc but stopped when we got other back alternatives. Ofab came around then. Did another 800 kills (he counted each one ) teamed with my flat mate to try to get him one, no luck either.

I'll never go there again.

Playing buddy though got one on first kill. But it was when MP's needed all the love they could get so it was lovely. :P

imo if you didnt find one you havent killed enough scourgers.

i got 5 to drop over the years, just kill more in a row will do the trick.

I gave up and I stopped counting after 1900 kills.

I started killing these again last night in the vain hope that I would actually get lucky after coming back..... stupid me.
