any progress on clicksaver?
Been fiddling around with Clicksaver... been able to get it to parse the AO database using Crossover office. When I try to run it with cedega I get one of those lovely long dumps (see below)... anyone else been able to get it to work?

When I try to run AO in cedega from the terminal I get this error after It is just about to start loading the game (I almost get the Green AO symbol)

ever since the last funcom patch I get crashes when the big logo shows up upon entering a playfield.
full version of cedega, nvidia card, 4.1 and/or 4.2 cedega...
ideas?

Ok, as root, I unpacked and ran cedega_4.2-1.i386.tar and point2play-small-1.3.2.tar. They unpacked all of their files into the appropriate spots. I paid for a TransGaming subscription. I downloaded InstallAOCedega.sh and tried to run it as root. It started installing ok, then this happened:

If you paid for a subscription to Transgaming you don't need InstallAOCedega.sh
Just use Point2Play and install from the game cds.
What cds? I paid online with a credit card. I didn't go to a brick and mortar store and purchase some cds. I did unpack and try to run point2play-small-1.3.2.[the filename continues]. It even installed a link in my Games folder (under Games --> More Programs --> TransGaming Point2Play). But when I click on this link, or when I try to run the program, it sit there and thinks for a while (and my mouse cursor changes to show that it's thinking), then nothing happens. No error message, no nothing. As far as I can tell, nothing happens.
Edit: Oh, are you talking about the AO cds? I thought you were talking about some Point2Play cds. I started playing AO on a free month-long trial, and I initially used it on a friend's computer that already had AO installed. Eventually, when my trial account expired, I paid for the full version of AO. A month or so later, I downloaded AO to my own computer, where I've been playing since. I'd like to install AO on this other, SuSE linux computer. So, you can see that I've never received any AO cds, and aren't likely to ever get any, as once a new expansion comes out I'll probably just log into my account at register.funcom.com and pay for the expansion key with my credit card.
As to not using InstallAOCedega.sh, I'm going from the instructions found on http://www.csh.rit.edu/~marius/aolinux/ so if there is a different way to do all of this that doesn't involve the InstallAOCedega.sh program (since I've been getting that error message when I try to run it), I'd love to hear about it.

thing comes over and over again. First "Anarchy Online is now loading" screen appears and then this error message(?) starts to print into console. Finally it just halts and returns to console (AO window still open through).
Any workarounds or do I really need to reboot to windows?

btw. Got this running about 3 months ago but back then I had ATI's crap installed so performance was awful. Now I "upgraded" to nvidia so is there more hope to get this thing working?
Hmm, I tried to run the game via Cedega 4.2 and got the following message from the game (not Cedega), with both the client copied from my Windows drive and from a fresh installation:

could be permissions, or maybe the files arent' there?
I was able to get my install working after all by copying over my complete windows install to my transgaming installation. Worked fine from there. Apparently the patcher broke something.

if you have a windows install of AO on another drive or partition, I would copy it over and try again.
Well, problem is that I have tried to run AO from my windows install and also copied it into my fake c drive but no luck. This is kind of odd because I got this working couple of months ago (maybe september? and with ATI) but now with new Cedega and nVidia's card it wont run.Originally Posted by Shivx
