    On my Superior Perennium Blaster I will go from 5s to 8s Burst and 22s to 34s Full Auto. I think that you can that is a pretty huge difference.

    P.S. And yes, all done with stop watches and w/ and w/out Skill Locks.

    One of my earlier suggestions was to redo the way all the Specials Skills affect specials recycle time like Burst. At 1s off for every 25 pts of Burst Skill you only need 700 Burst skill to meet the Burst hard cap on a MBC. Basically, any profession can do that easy, i.e. an Enforcer.

    I know I stopped raising Burst and casting Riot Control because I don't need extra Burst skill. So if we and Fixers want to remain masters of Burst well then skill needs to reduce Burst recycle less. Same goes for other specials too, if Agents want to be masters of AS, reduce the effect of AS skill on recycle time.

    I think FC will se a lot of "Cancelled" if they dont do this rigth.
    Im almost out of IP reset points and have spend the last 4 months using skill lock on my pistols to give me a decent recharge rate.
    I dont have any more IPR's to change weapons and if Im now forced to changed again I migth just as well cancel.
    I only have time for 1 high level char. and with every odd change my options are more and more limited.

    But Ull, you are old gimp
    still... there aren't that many usable guns... if they were, most ppl would use them. We have enough possibilities to "feed the market". But I fully understand someone might get sick from his gun enough to desperately try new things. Actually I was close to that point when I was using Div9 for some 100+ levels OMG how I was sick from the sound and effects :P !!!!! Which reminds me, I remember some months after launch, I saw many many ppl shooting guns that were doing so nice effects... how I wished to have something like that

    eh screw all these incomplete solutions. Ill be back for expansion pack so see you folks in 6 months to a years. Games not worth supporting in its current state or worth a serious investment in time.

    I'd have to disagree, I'm still enjoying AO tremendously. Most of these issues are fairly minor in the grand scheme of things. I love playing in Shadowlands and I love playing a soldier. Any changes to skill lock won't effect that.

    ROFL, I wondered how long it would take before the "OMG FC I HATE JOO ALL! CHANGE THIS AND I QUIT!" post. The comedy relief of such posts is just one of the great reasons to visit the forums.

    On topic though, to me, having just started camping for my -skill lock items, it won't affect me much...BUT...I would prolly be pretty PO'd myself if I had invested the amount of time/credits into aquiring -40% skill lock like some people.

    Having to completely rebuild your gear based off of a game mechanic they decided to change does suck, and I think thats one of the major reasons for griping that people have. The frustration of having wasted 300 hours of game time camping or a comparable amount of credit farming buying skill lock items I'm sure leaves a sour taste in your mouth. I guess its one of the prices you pay for "uberness" or being "unique".

    My two main characters are a keeper and a NT. As the game is now in its current state its barely enjoyable. I don't care too much bout skill skill lock being nerfed. Because of special recharges,damage output on some classes has become a tad absurd. But for every "Fix" to game mechanics it seems I just end up wasting time in the long run. Why spend millions of creds and days of work playing a game only to findout in the end it was all in vain. Will anyone ever see those creds magically reappear? Those many hours working towards improvements are all wasted. It seems the only anarchy im seeing these days is from patches.

    that still leaves 1 question. you say skill should be more important than skill-lock, but i'm really missing the burst-modifier in any right-arm symbiant. at the moment you can boost your burst skill higher with implants than with any possible symbiant-set. that can't be right.

    A few artillery symbs would need to be remade for skill > skill lock to make any sense...

    I wonder next thing to get "fixed" aka "nerfed" well now I will get suspecuious, and just think to my self "pff waste of time gona get nerfed soon"

    this is the thing that that make the game unenjoyable, we will be afraid to stand from the crowd by using "strange" stuff

    ...and yes I am still using my HoH and my crepuscle armor, I wont sell it took to many hours camping it, that and the 220 art left-hand(-6 skill lock) whit a incridble low drop rate from the PB's, uncontable hours farming the paterns and novict

    Yea I hear ya Akgis, I've probably spent 40-60 hours camping items they will be making completely useless next patch. This is the only thing that really bothers me, but it's kinda unavoidable I guess. I remember back when they patched in keys and protection gear for Adonis and Penumbra after I had spent weeks aquiring that stuff.

    It all seems pretty frustrating but some of these things need to be done for the better of the game as a whole =)

    That's not really on the same topic, though related. I can't really answer it, but I know the concern is on the Soldier Professionals' list and in the hands of the devs.

    proffs relying on specials will now have lowered dmg output. support proffs still have skill lock for stims etc.

    so, as if a doc wasnt unkillable at high levels already, theyr even harder now? =)

    same goes for keeper\advs(?) i guess

    i might be just rambling, and i should be sleeping... ugh.. nn all =)

    specials relying profs will still have superfast specials at high levels provided they are weapon specialists, like soldiers pump up the skills and you'll get there...just won't get your perenium down to 2 sec burst/4sec FA anymore or your Jobe Defender Naginata down to 1-2 secs fast attack
